FOR TEMPORARY DAY LABOR SERVICES
This First Extension and Amendment (First Extension) to that certain Agreement to provide
temporary day labor services is entered into effective as of January 8, 2019 by and between Indian River
County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida ("County") and PeopleReady of Florida, Inc.
("Contractor").
BACKGROUND RECITALS
WHEREAS, the County and the Contractor entered into an Agreement for Temporary Day Labor
Services Effective March 20, 2018.
WHEREAS, Article 3 of the Agreement contains the term and renewal provisions.
WHEREAS, the first term commenced effective as of March 20, 2018 and ended on December 31,
2018.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, the parties desire to extend the Agreement for an additional
one year period and add certain provision to the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing, and other good and valuable consideration,
the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the County and the Contractor agree as
follows:
1. The background recitals are true and correct and form a material part of this First Extension.
2. The first renewal term shall commence effective January 8, 2019 and shall end on December 31, 2019;
one additional renewal term is available beyond this first renewal.
3. The hourly rate for this First Extension shall be increased to $12.86 per hour.
4. The following terms are added to the Agreement:
A. Contractor certifies that it and those related entities of Contractor as defined by Florida law are not on
the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List, created pursuant to s. 215.4725 of the Florida Statutes,
and are not engaged in a boycott of Israel. In addition, if this agreement is for goods or services of one
million dollars or more, Contractor certifies that it and those related entities of respondent as defined above
by Florida law are not on the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List or the Scrutinized
Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List, created pursuant to Section 215.473
of the Florida Statutes and are not engaged in business operations in Cuba or Syria.
B. Owner may terminate this Contract if Contractor is found to have submitted a false certification as
provided under section 287.135(5), Florida Statutes, been placed on the Scrutinized Companies with
Activities in Sudan List or the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector
List, or been engaged in business operations in Cuba or Syria, as defined by section 287.135, Florida
Statutes.
C. Owner may terminate this Contract if Contractor, including all wholly owned subsidiaries, majority-
owned subsidiaries, and parent companies that exist for the purpose of making profit, is found to have been
placed on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List or is engaged in a boycott of Israel as set
forth in section 215.4725, Florida Statutes.
5. All terms and provisions of the Contract shall be and remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have caused this Amendment to be executed effective the day
and year first set forth above.
