Dear Sir:
The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners
to strongly endorse the extension of a channel from the
River waterway to the Sebastian Inlet. The current posi
the Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission is cent)
the destruction of sea grass beds. We do not want to see
grass beds destroyed further, however at this time we I
controlled access to the Inlet and boats enter the Inlet
180 degree spectrum, damaging sea grass bed in that whole
of area. We feel that a marked channel will limit the da
the boats and still allow the reestablishment of pre
damaged areas.
Also, the Sebastian Inlet is our County's only direct
for boaters to and from the ocean and to have maintained
would allow our county to economically and physically
from the boat traffic exchange. We would appreciate a
reevaluation of our request, and look forward to your
cooperation.

Dear Sir:
The Indian River County Board of County commissioners wishes
to strongly endorse the extension of a channel from the Indian
River waterway to the Sebastian Inlet. The current position of
the Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission is centered on
the destruction of sea grass beds. We do not want to see the sea
grass beds destroyed further, however at this time we have no
controlled access to the Inlet and boats enter the Inlet from a
180 degree spectrum, damaging sea grass bed in that whole horizon
of area. We feel that a marked channel will limit the damage of
the boats and still allow the reestablishment of previously
damaged areas.
Also, the Sebastian Inlet is our County's only direct access
for boaters to and from the ocean and to have maintained access
would allow our county to economically and physically benefit
from the boat traffic exchange. We would appreciate a serious
reevaluation of our request, and look forward to your further
cooperation.
