RESOLUTION NO. 93- 82
s A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,
FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE CERTIFICATE OF THE
COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD.
WHEREAS, on April 13, 1993, the County held a Special Election of the
qualified electors on the question of whether Indian River County should ba
authorized, pursuant to Section 3, Art. VII of the state constitution, to
x� grant property tax exemptions to new businesses and expansions of existing
businesses; and
WHEREAS, after the ballots were counted, the results were certified by
the County Canvassing Board, which consisted of County Judge James B.
Balsiger, Supervisor of Elections Ann Robinson, and Chairman of the Board
of County Commissioners Richard N. Bird, and the Certificate, which shows
that the referendum did not pass, was turned over to the Board of County
Commissioners,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board
hereby officially acknowledges receipt of the Certificate of the County
Canvassing Board in connection with the above.
The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Eggert ,
in
( and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Ti PP and, upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and
adopted this 27 day of April , 1993.

CERTIFICATE OF COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
County Judge, ANN ROBINSON,
Supervisor of Elections, and RICHARD N. BIRD , Chairman of the Board of County
Commissioners, constituting the Board of County Canvassers in and for said County, do hereby certify that
we met in the office of the Supervisor of Elections on the 13th Day of April, A.D., 1993, and proceeded
to publicly canvass the votes given for the offices herein specified at the Special Election held on the 13th
Day of April, A.D., 1993, as shown by the returns on file in the office of the Supervisor of Elections. We
do hereby certify from said returns as follows:
FOR REFERENDUM, SHALL THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY BE AUTHORIZED, PURSUANT TO S.3, ART.VII OF THE STATE
CONSTITUTION, TO GRANT PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTIONS TO NEW BUSINESSES AND
EXPANSIONS OF EXISTING BUSINESSES?
The whole number of votes cast was 25,362 of which number:
