A motion was made by Commissioner O'Bryan, seconded by Vice Chairman Flescher,
to approve the Agenda as presented. The motion carried by the following vote:

O'Bryan, and Commissioner Solari
5. COUNTY ATTORNEY MATTERS
5.A. 20-1629 School District Request for Resolution Calling for Referendum on August 18, 2020
Primary Election Ballot
Recommended Action: The County Attorney's Office recommends that the Board approve the resolution.

Order Granting Complaint for Writ of Mandamus
County Attorney Dylan Reingold provided the background that led to a decision by
the Honorable Judge Janet Carney Croom, who issued the Order Granting
Complaint for Writ of Mandamus, ordering the Board of County Commissioners to
meet for the purpose of approving a resolution that would allow the School Board
of Indian River County to call an election for a referendum to be placed on the
ballot of the August 18, 2020 Primary Election.
There was no discussion by the Board.

A motion was made by Vice Chairman Flescher, seconded by Commissioner Zorc, to
approve Resolution 2020-048, to call an election for a referendum to be placed on the
ballot of the August 18, 2020 Primary Election. The motion carried by the following
vote:
Aye: 5 - Chairman Adams, Vice Chairman Flescher, Commissioner Zorc, Commissioner
O'Bryan, and Commissioner Solari
6. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the Chairman adjourned the meeting at 4:32 p.m.
