HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-198NK, x r 10/29/93(PWD)RES#4.TBT\blf # AS -BUILT tz r RESOLUTION NO. 93- 198 x A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY CERTIFYING "AS -BUILT" COSTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A RECREATION PATH ON THE WEST SIDE OF AlA FROM THE SOUTH CITY LIMIT OF VERO BEACH TO THE SOUTH MOORINGS LINE (SPYGLASS LANE) AND OTHER CONSTRUCTION NECESSITATED BY SUCH PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR FORMAL COMPLETION DATE, AND DATE FOR PAYMENT WITHOUT PENALTY AND INTEREST. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County determined that the improvements for the property located with boundaries as described in this title, designated as Project No. 9016, were necessary to promote the public welfare of the County; and WHffitFJ1S, on February 12, 1991, the Board held a public ` hearing at which time and place and the owners of the property to be assessed appeared before the Board to be heard as to the propriety and advisability of making such improvements; and WMOMRS, after such public hearing was held the County Commission adopted Resolution No. 91-17, which confirmed the special assessment cost of the project to the property specially benefited by the project in the amounts listed in an attachment to that resolution; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 90-189 provided for the construction of the recreation path and established an installment payment plan; and WHEREAS, the said assessment is considerably less than the anticipated assessment, therefore, there is no need for installment payment. WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has certified the actual "as -built" cost now that the project has been completed is $89.00 per residential unit, which is less than $145.00 per residential unit in the confirming Resolution No. 91-17, NOW TFEREEORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY MIMSSIMER.S OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTr, FLORIDA, that: 1. Payments shall be made in one installment. The due date is ninety (90) days after the passing of this resolution. 2. The final assessment roll for the project listed in Resolution No. 91-17 has been filed with the Clerk to the Board. 3.
