HomeMy WebLinkAbout1993-201WHEREAS, section 196.28, Florida Statutes, allows the Board of County
Commissioners of each County to cancel and discharge any and all liens for
taxes, delinquent or current, held or owned by the county or the state,
upon lands heretofore or hereafter conveyed to or acquired by any agency,
governmental subdivision, or municipality of the state, or the United States,
for road purposes, defense purposes, recreation, reforestation, or other
public use; and
MNEREAS, such cancellation must be by resolution of the Board of
County Commissioners, duly adopted and entered upon its minutes properly
describing such lands and setting forth the public use to which the same are
or will be devoted; and
M ORM, upon receipt of a certified copy of such resolution, proper
officials of the county and of the state are authorized, empowered, and
directed to make proper entries upon the records to accomplish such
cancellation and to do all things necessary to carry out the provisions of
section 196.28, F.S.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
OMMXBSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that any and all
liens for taxes, delinquent or current, against the property described in
O.R. Book 994, Page 2954 which was recently acquired by Indian River County
for right of way purposes on Oslo Road G Dixie Hwy., are hereby cancelled,
pursuant to the authority of section 196.28, F.S.
The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner fnaert
and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Adams and, upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner Fran B. Adams Aye
Commissioner Kenneth R. Macht Aye
The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted

Range 40 East, in Indian River County, Florida, and being more
particularly described as follows:
Commence at the Southwest corner of said Section 19; thence along
the South line of said Section 19, South 8957151" East, a distance
of 98.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence North 00"19141"
East, a distance of 24.67 feet to a point on a circular curve
concave to the North, having a central angle of 005113111, a radius
of 10,296.90 feet and a chord bearing of North 8941'44" East;
thence Easterly along the arc of said curve, a distance of 154.31
feet to a point of non -tangency; thence North 43030'28" East, a
