A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE COUNTY
ADMINISTRATOR, THE ASSISTANT COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR OR THE
DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT & BUDGET OR THEIR
DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO AMEND THE
FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 BUDGET DURING THE PERIOD COMMENCING
NOVEMBER 10, 2020, THROUGH AND INCLUDING NOVEMBER 29, 2020.
WHEREAS, Section 101.05.1.q of The Code of Indian River County allows the Board to
authorize the County Administrator, or his designee, to perform other duties on behalf of the Board
of County Commissioners;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to delegate signing authority, not previously delegated by Florida
Statutes, The Code of Indian River County, and Indian River County resolutions, to the County
Administrator, the Assistant County Administrator, and the Director of the Office of Management
and Budget to be able to make any necessary amendments to the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget
prior to the closing of the fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, certain appropriation and expenditure amendments to the adopted Fiscal Year
2019-2020 Budget are to be made by resolution pursuant to section 129.06(2), Florida Statutes or
by the designated budget officer if the total appropriations of the fund does not change;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY THAT:
1. The County Administrator, the Assistant County Administrator, and the Director of the Office
of Management & Budget or their designee are authorized to execute all documents necessary to
amend the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 budget, which may arise during the period commencing
November 10, 2020, through and including November 29, 2020, provided that all such documents
signed during such interval are brought to the Board of County Commissioners for ratification.
2. The Effective Date of this Resolution is September 15, 2020, and this Resolution shall expire
without further action of this Board at the close of business on November 29, 2020.
The foregoing resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Joseph F. Flescher
and the motion was seconded by Commissioner Tim_ Zorc and, upon being put to a
vote, the vote was as follows:
Chairman Susan Adams AYE
Vice Chairman Joseph E. Flescher AYE
Commissioner Peter D. O'Bryan AYE
Commissioner Bob Solari AYE
Commissioner Tim Zorc AYE

The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted this 15th
day of September , 2020.
