HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-179d/a6/U9(it L"NC)\dot. do0)LECIATL(WOQ/nhm) RESOLUTION NO. 92-179 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THAT THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TURN OVER A PARCEL OF LAND TO AID IN THE PUBLIC PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING INDIAN RIVER BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation has title to a certain parcel of land designated as Parcel 15 on the attached Exhibit "A"; and WHEREAS, said parcel is within the right-of-way for the proposed extension of Indian River Boulevard Phase IV in Indian River County between 45th Street and 53rd Street; and WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to accomplish the construction of Indian River Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation utilized said Parcel 15 as a drainage right-of-way, which will be replaced by an alternate drainage right-of-way constructed by the Grand Harbor development, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: 1. All of the above recitals are hereby ratified; and 2. The Florida Department of Transportation is requested to turn over to Indian River County by quit -claim deed the parcel depicted on the attached Exhibit "A" and described in the attached Exhibit "B", known as Parcel 15, in order for the County to achieve the public purpose of constructing Indian River Boulevard. The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Scurlock and seconded by Commissioner Bird and, being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Chairman Carolyn K. Eggert Absent Vice Chairman Margaret C. Bowman Aye Commissioner Richard N. Bird Aye Commissioner Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye Commissioner John W.
