A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, BY AND
THROUGH ITS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, ADOPTING A
PEACETIME EMERGENCY PLAN FOR INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
WHEREAS, Chapter 252, Florida Statues, Disaster Preparedness
Act, establishes a Division of Emergency Management (DIVISION)
and prescribes the powers and responsibilities thereof; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 252, Florida Statues, assigns to the Board
of County Commissioners responsibility for disaster mitigation,
preparedness, response and recovery; and
WHEREAS, Florida Administrative Code Rule 90-6 requires
submission by Indian River County (COUNTY) to the DIVISION of a
triennial update of the County's Peacetime Emergency (PEP) Plan*;
and
WHEREAS, Rule 9-6, F.A.C., requires that after determination
by the DIVISION that the COUNTY'S plan is in compliance, that the
COUNTY pass a resolution officially adopting the PEP Plan for
Indian River County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the 1990
triennial update of the COUNTY's PEP Plan as approved by the
DIVISION is hereby adopted.
The resolution was move(, for adoption by Commissioner
Scurlock and the motion was seconded by Commissioner
Bird and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as
follows:

The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and
adopted this 27 day of November 1990.
