HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-0150 E 67 — i r 1 E 8 0 L U T 1 0 N � WHEREAS, the County Auditor, after tentatively aseer- 11 taining the proposed fiscal policies of the Hoard. of County Com - 1 I'1misaioners of Indian River County for the ensuing fiscal year, 1 did prepare and present to the Hoard a tentative budget for the ensuing fiscal year for each of the funds as provided by law for the annual budget of the Board of County Commissioner$ of Indian River County, Florida, including all estimated receipts, taxes to s be levied and balances expected to be brought forth and all esti- mated expenditures, reserves and balances to be carried over at the end of the year; and, r WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners did receive and examine said tentative budget for each fund and did require such changes to be m de as the Hoard did deem necessary and the h Auditorts estimate of receipts other than taxes and aV balances i to be brought forward not having been revised; and, WHEREAS, upon receipt of said tentative budget and the completion of all revisions, this Board did prepare a statement summarizing all of the tentative budgets showing for each budget and the total of all budgets the proposed tax millages, the balances, the reserves and the total of each major classification of receipts and expenditures, classified according to the classi- fication of accounts proscribed by the Comptroller of the State of Florida; and, WHEREAS, this Board did cause said summary statement to be advertised one time in a newspaper of general circulation pub- lished in Indian River County, Florida, to -wit: In the issue of ,August 28, 1952, of the Vena Beach Press Journal, as will more fully appear by proof of publication thereof filed in the minutes of this Board; and, WHEREAS, this Board did meet at the time and place r stated in said advertisement for the purpose of hearing requests vl' and complaints from the public regarding the budgets and for the i z purpose of holding a'public hearing and making whatever revisions in the budget it may deem necessary; Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners 11of Indian River County, Florida, does herewith tentatively adopt F ; �j the annual budget for the funds of said Hoard for the fiscal year i ending September 30, 1953, in the form as heretofore prepared and `1 ;1j duly advertised; and, �i i ' BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said tentative budget shall 4be filed in the office of the County Auditor as a public record and the County officer shall transmit two copies of the tentative 'budget as adopted to the Comptroller of the State of Florida and said budget as tentatively adopted shall be considered as finally ';adopted and as official upon approval as to form by the Comptrol- ler; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriation from he general 'revenue fund to the Board of Public Instruction of "Twenty Thousand Dollarb'{ 0,000.00) shall not be payable uzyl feta and unti he Board of County Conunisioners has receivedraixty Thousand ollars (460,000.00) from race—track funs during said fiscal ear and that after the receipt of the sum of Sixty Thousand Dol ars (460,000.00) further redeipts from said"source in said year hall be paid to the, -Hoard of Public Instruction of Indian River ounty, Floril , luntil said Board shall have received the nppro- riatigxvl f Twenty Thousand Dollars {$20,000.00}d w. a 11 MiisMEAS, the County Auditor, after tentatively ricer - twining the proposed fisca� policies of tbo Board of County Coll- aiissionara of Indian River County for the ensuing fiscal year, did prepare and prosent to the Hoard a tentative budget for the ensuing fiscal year for ouch of the funds as provided by law for the annual budget of the hoard of County Comissionore of Indiana River County, Florida, including all estimated receipts, taxes to be levied and balances expected to be brought .forth and all esti mated expandltures, reserves and balances to be carried over at the end of the year; and, vilff,i2L:18, the Board of County Commissioners did receive and examine said tentative budget for each fund and did require such changes to be as ds as tho Board did dopes necessary and the I Auditor's estimate of rccel;stn other than taxes and cf balances to be brought forward not having, been revised, arid, S WMi,'M AS, upon receipt of said tentative budget and the ooctplotion of all revisions, this Hoard dial prepare a statement siumnariz i ' g al..1 of the town tntive buds sts showing for each budget and thea total of all budgets the prognosed tax mill€tges, the baiancea, the reserves and the total of oacli major classification of receipts at'd expenditures, classified acorrding to the classi« Al f ioation of accounts proscribed by they Comptroller of the State of Florida; and, .WHERIil , this Board did cause said sunarnary statement to be advertised one time in a newspaper of general circulation pub- lished In Indian diver County, Florida, to -wit.
