HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-011R E 3 0 L 11 T I O N WHEREAS, the County Auditor, after tentatively ascer- taining the proposed fiscal policies of the Board of County Com- missioners of Indian River County for the ensuing fiscal year, did prepare and present to the Board a tentative budget for the ensuing fiscal year for each of the Hinds as provided by law for the annual budget of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, including all estimated receipts, taxes to be levied and balances expected to be brought forth and all esti- mated expenditures, reserves and balances to be carried over at 4 the end of the year; and, jl WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners dial receive and examine said tentativo budget for each fund and did require such changes to be made as the Board did deem necessary and the i' Auditor's estimate of receipts other than taxes and of balances �I to be brought forward not having been revised; and, WHEREAS, upon receipt of said tentative budget and the i I completion of all revisions, this Board did prepare a statement Summarizing all of the tentative budgets showing for each budget and the total of all budgets the proposed tax millages, the jbalances, the reserves and the total of each major classification IIof receipts and expenditures, classified according to the classi- fication of accounts prescribed by the Comptroller of the State of Florida; and, WHEREAS, this Board did cause said sLvunary statement to be advertised one time in a newspaper of general circulation pub- lished in Indian River County, Florida, to -wit: In the issue of July 23, 1953, of the Vero Beach Press Journal, as will more fully appear by proof of publication thereof filed in the minutes of this Board; and, WHEREAS, this Board did meet at the time and place stated in said advertisement for the purpose of hearing requests and complaints from the public regarding the budgets and for the purpose of holding a public hearing and making whatever revisions in the budget it may deem necessary; Now, therefore, MITCHELL.
