Gentlemen;
Under the Aircraft Registration Low your county is credited each
year with 50% of the monies collected in your county from the registra-
tion of aircraft. The law provides that you may contract with this
Commission to expend this money in your county in the furtherance of a
state-wide aviation safety program.
Our long range plan for the promotion of aviation safety calls for
the installation of 1100 airmarkers throughout the state and the con-
struction of an adequate state-wide system of emergency airports. This
program insides extensive work in your county.
Since the effective date of the Aircraft Registration Law (January
1, 1945) 94% of the eligible counties throughout the state have entered
into a cooperative program to the extent of authoriti.ng this Commission
to spend their share of aircraft registration monies in their particular
county. Our records show that your county, under this law, has accrued
a total of 0625.00 for the calendar year 1956.
We request that you continue to assist us in our program for the
promotion of aviation safety in your county by adopting the enclosed
resolution for the above mentioned period, returning two executed copies
thereof to this office and retaining one copy for your files.
Your consideration and early action will be appreciated.
Yours very truly,
r
