Macdonald and unanimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted: 7
RESOLUTION -- Re: planning & 'Zoning Connnissiou Appointments
i WHEREAS, under the authority of Chapter 21310, laws of Florida, Acts of 1941,
the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, is authorized to establish
zoning in Indian River County, Florida; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the powers conferred by said Act, thin Board has heretofore I
appointed a commission known as the 'Zoning Comminsion; and
WHEREAS, the to oris of office of said members have expired; Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by thu Board of. County Conttninsioner6 of Indian River County,
Florida, that this board does herewith appoint Alvin K. Fotney, Ii. W. Vickers, Dewey Reams,
J. S. Holmes and C. Alfred Briggs to be known as the 'Zoning Conmisrion of Indian River County,
Florida, and does herewith vest said 'Zoning Commission with all the powers, duties and
authorities set forth and prescribed in said Act for the term of four years beginning February )
5, 1957, and ending on February 5, 1.961, and until their successors are appointed and qualified.
