WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 194. 55, Florida Statutes, and
pursuant to resolution of the City of Vero Beach, the Board of County Coin -
iiiissioners of Indian River County, Florida, did dedicate the following ties- i
0 cribed property and other lands situated in the City of Vero Beach, Indian
River County, Florida, to -wit:
Lots 27 to 39, inclusive, Block 1, and Lots 9 to 25,
inclusive, and Lots 31 to 36, inclusive, Block 2,
LANGWICK SUBDIVISION, according to plat filed in
the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Indian
River County, Florida, in Plat Bookl, page 32;
for public use and purpose for public park; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vero Beach has now
adopted its resolution requesting the Board of County Commissioners to
dedicate the above described property for certain public uses and purposes
by the City of Vero Beach; Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Indian River County, Florida, that said County does herewith dedicate all
of the above described property for public use and purpose by the City of
Vero Beach, a municipal corporation under the laws of the State of Florida,
for a public park, a site for a police station, a site for a civil defense
control center, a site for a general civic center of the City and for public
parking; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of said above described
property shall not hereafter be assessed for taxes so long as the same
remains dedicated or devoted to public use and drat a certified copy of this
Resolution be delivered to the County Assessor of taxes in order that he may
so exempt said lands from taxes and that a certified copy hereof be delivered
to the City Tax Assessor of the City of Veto Beach in order that he may so
exempt said property from taxes.

Attached is the original of a suggested form of
Resolution on the Langwich Sul>divislou property. Which is
self-explanatory. please have the resolution adopted by Ely-,
City Council. Then certify one copy and send the certified
copy to Katherine Morrison for the Board of County Coultilia-
sionern.
On receipt of the certified copy, i recluum that
Katherine present it to the Ward and leave the Board adopt the
resolution which I ant sending tier with a copy of this llicrl)O,
When the County Commissioners Ilave adopted their resolution,
Katherine should certify three copies, send oil(,, to the County
Tax Assessor, one to the City Tax Assessor and have the third
copy recorded in tile Clerk's office and after recording, return
this copy to the City Clerk with the statemeat of the recording
charge.
Upon completion of the above, the title to the property
described in the resolution win be such as to permit the City to
proceed with its plans. For the record, hits 29 And 30, Block
2, are owned by the City and Lots 26, 27 and 23, Block 2, -ire
owned by Russell Burks. in years past, we have had proposed
changes, exchanges and deals to acquire these three lots troll,
Burks but none of them have been cmicluded. Before tile City
begins its construction, thereby enhancing the: value Of Burks
lots, I recommend to the City that it acquire by PUrchfisc Or
condemnation the three Burks lots so that the (;ity property
will completely cover this area.
