HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959-016• S' 0 L, U T IO 0 WHEREAS, all acts having been performed and all proceedings had as required by law preliminary to the levy of taxes in Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1959; and, 'WHEREAS, the respective Boards and taxing districts being authorized to fix and levy taxes upon property situated within Indian River County, Florida, as provided by law, fixed such tax levies and have certi- fied the same to the Board of County Commissioners and this Board having accepted the same and having found them to be -proper; Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. Lstimates having been made by the Board of Commissioners of INDIAN RIVER MOSQUITO CONTROL, DISTRICT, and a certified copy of the Resolution filed with this lloard, as required by law, and as estimated by the Board of Coriunissioners, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Six and five -tenths (6.5) mills upon the dollar be levied, and is hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1959, on all of the property taxable for such purpose as provided by law in the County of Indian River, lying and being within the boundaries of said Indian River Mosquito Control District, described in Chaptcr 24,600, Acts of 1947. Z. Estimates having been made by the Ward of Commissioners o�' SEBASTIAN INLET DISTRICT and a certified copy of itlesolution filed with this Board as required by law and as estimated by said Board of Conaiissioners, it is determined and hereby declared Chat a tax rate of Pl'iL,ht-tenths (.8) mill upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fired and assessed for the year 1959 on all of the property in the County of Indian River lying and being in the boundaries of oald Sebastian Inlet District, which said boundaries are as follows, to -wit: All. that part of Indian River County which comprised and made up the first Commiss-iorer's District of St. 1,ucile County, Florida, as located and established upon the passage of Chapter 7976, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1919 as amended, which said levy shall be used as a maintenance fund for the purposes authorized and prescribed in the Act creating said District; tiamely, Section 15, Chapter 7976, Laws 40 of Florida, as amended by Chapter 12259, of the Laws of Florida. 3. Estimates having been made by the Board of Commissioners 40 of the CENTRAL. AND SOUTHLILI FLORIDA FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT, and a certified copy of the Resolution filed with this Board, as required by • law and as estimated by said hoard of Conm)issioxiers, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Seventy-five Hundredths (.75) mill on the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and imposed and assessed for the year 1959, on all of the property in the County of Indian River lying and being within the, boundaries of said Central and Southern Florida Flood Control District, the boundaries of said District being described as including all of the County of Indian River. 4. Esthitates having been made by the BOA103 OF ?UBLIC liv5TIWCTTQN of Indian River County, Florida, and a certified copy of the Resolution filed with this Board as required by law and as estimated by said ElOARD OF PUBLIC INST11,UCTION, it is determined and hereby declart=d that a tax rate of Ten (10) mills upon the dollar be levied, and is hereby imposed upon all property in the County of Indian River to meet the current expenses, incidental and necessary, for the operation of the public schools of the County. 5. Estittiates having been made by the Board of Public Instruction for TAX SCHOUL 011-TttICT NO. I and a certified copy of said Resolution having been filed with this Loard as required by law, and as estimated by said Board, being the rate of mi,llagc voted, it is determlined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Teti (10) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1959 on all of the property taxable for such purpose as provided by law in said Oistrl.cL, said District comprising of all of Indian River County. The same being Nine (9) Mills for support and irtaintertance and One (1) mill for building and special reserve. 40 4b 6. Lstimates having been made by the said Pmard of Public Instruction for SPECIAL TAX SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 11, and a certified copy of the Resolution filed with this Board as required by law, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of Twenty-fi.ve hundredths (.25) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1959 on all of the property in the County of Indian River lying and being within the boundaries of said District No. 11, which boundaries are as follows, to - wit: Beginning; at the Northeast corner of Section 32, Township 32 South, Range 40 East, then run West along Section line to Northwest corner Section 31, Township 32 South, Range 33 Last, thence South on Range line to South- west corner Section 31, Township 33 South, 2,irt-c 39 East, thence West along Section line to Northwest corner Section 6, Township 33 South, 1',-A116c 36 East, thence South along Range line to Southwest corner Section 1.3, Township 33 South, Range 33 East, thence 1-'1,a:;t to ALIint'ic Oceaa, thence DorLh alon,', Ocean beach to startiug point; fo-,,. tilp purpose of payin& interest upon and providing a Sinkin�, Fund for boads of said Dlsti:lct dated Jccember 1, 1940. 7. Estimates having; been made by the said Board of Public Instruction for SPLCM,1, TA- 5=10M, DISTRICT NO. t, and a certlLfied copy of the Resolution filed with this Board as required by law, it is detcemined and hereby declared that a tar: rate of Four (4) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and assessed for the year 1.959 on all of the property in said District, the smite be-A*1n& all of the property in Indian River County; for the purpose of payin,-, interest upon and providing a Sinking Fund for bonds of said District dated April 1, 1956. Estimates having been made by the panel of Trustees of the INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PUMIAC HOSPITAL, and a cecv-11"I'ed copy of the 4esolution thereof filed with this Board as required by law, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of One and one-tenth (1.1) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby fixed and cuisessed for the, year 1.959 on all of the property in 'Indian Itiver County; for the purpose of paying current 4D 40 expenses, incidental and necessary for the opecati.on ol' L,he Public Hospital of the County. BEI IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tax Assessor of Indian River County, Florida, be and he hereby is directed to assess and levy all of the foregoing taxes upon the taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, just and due taxation within the respective boundaries upon which such taxes are levied and the Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida be and he is hereby directed to collect said taxes and pay over the saiiie and that a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to the County Assessor of Taxes and the County Collector of taxes.
