In accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of Florida, as passed by the 1925 Session of said body, and approved May 30th 1925, to become effective 30 days thereafter, which said Act was for the creation of Indian River County, - Florida, the following persons appeared on this date, having been duly appointed, and qualified as County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, to -wit: G A Braddock, J W LaBruce, Donald Forbes, John H Atkin and 0 0 Helseth. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried John H Atkin was made temporary Chairman of the meeting. The question of a permament Chairman of this Board was then brought before the body, and upon an agreement for a secret ballot on this matter, John H.Atkin was declared to be the permament Chairman of the Board of County Com►issioners. The bond of Louis Harris, as member of the School Board, in the sum of $2,000.00 with J S McClintock, Fred E King and A B Whidden, as sureties, waS approved. The bond of W E Riggs, as County Superintendent of Schools, in the sum of $1,000.0 with B T Redstone and F L night, as sureties was approved. The bo.d of P•W Jamison, as member of the School Board in th sum of $2,000.00 with T J Campbell and Wm Atkins, as sureties was approved. The bond of ]avid Rose, as member of the School Board in the sum of $2,000 00 with Henry Schuman and Albert Schuman, as sureties was approved. The bond of 0 0 Helseth, as member of the Board of County Couanissioners in the sum of $2,000.00 with T J Campbell and Wm Atkin, as sureties was approved. The bo.d of J W LaBruee, as member of the Board of County Commissioners in the sum of $2,On0 00 with Royal Ineemnity Company of New York, a corporation, as surety, was approve.. The bo.d of Ben W. Ketchum, as County Judge, in the sum of $!,000.00 with Royal Indemnity Company, of New York, a corporation, am, surety was appraved. The bond of Chas D Toole, as Supervisor of Registration in t1Le sum of $500.00 with John LeRoy Hitchiason and A M Hill, as sureties was approved The bond of ¥files Warren, as Clerk of the Circuit Court in the sum of $2,000.00 with Royal Indemnity Company of New York, a corporation, as surety was approved. the Bond of Geo T Tippin, as County Assessor of Taxes in the sum of $1,000.00 with T. J. Campbell, E. J. Wood, A. W. Young and A Ferguson, as sureties was approved. The Bo d. of Joel W Knight, as Sheriff, in the sum of $2,000.00 with Roy M. Huntley and J T O'Malley, as sureties was approved. The Board then adjourned to'meet on Monday, July 6th, 1925 at 10 o'clock A.M. as their first regular monthly meeting.
