Indian River County, Florida, known as
crossed the right of way and in line
Railway Company; and,
WTIRIMAS, many residents of said community purchaseil
homes and homesites and established residences to particular
parts of Roseland because of and in rolkanco on the location
of said vrossing; and,
WHEREAS, said crossing provided a conveniont and safe
method of moving vehicles across the right of way and main
line of said Railway; and,
WHEREAS, in the month of April, 1962, without warning
or notice to any governmental unit or person in Indian River
County, Florida, said Florida East Coast Rtlilway COMPanY
closed said crossing to all vehicle, foot an([ other traffic;
NOW, 71TEREFORE,
13E IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Indian River County, Florida, that this Board objects to tho
closing of said crossing and requests Florida East Coast
Railway Company to reconsider its action in the light of the
facts and circumstances recited in this resolution and to
reopen and reestablish said crossing,
