Upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by
Commissioner Hamilton and unanimously carried, the following Resolu-
tion was adopted.
RESOLUTION
REQUESTING THE STATE ROAD BOARD TO APPROVE
/4 THE PROCESSING OF A $400,000 INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY ROAD AND BRIDGE REVENUE BOND ISSUE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County, Florida, are desirous of issuing $400,000 of road and bridge �•de
revenue bonds to be paid for over a period of five (5) years from the
80% surplus gas tax accruing to the benefit of said Indian River ►'((�'
County under the provisions of Section 16, Article IX of the State
Constitution, and,
WHEREAS, the State Road Department of Florida has asked the
Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, to adopt
a resolution requesting the State Road Department to proceed with the
processing of such a bond program, the proceeds of which are to be used
as a contribution toward the project as outlined below, and has requested
the countytto list the proposed road and bridge projects to be included
therein:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners of Indian River County requests the State Road Department
to proceed with the processing of a $400,000 bond issue; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the road and bridge projects as
listed below be included in said proposed road and bridge revenue bond
issue, to wit:
(1) Construction of a bridge over the Sebastian Inlet in part;
(2) Construction of approaches, in part, to such bridge;

(3) Construction of State Road A-1-A from such approaches
southerly to that part thereof which is already paved.

County, Florida, is vitally interested in the additions, eaten- / �
sons and improvements to the primary read system of the State /�(a
of Florida in Indian River County, Florida; NOW. Th*RRICRR:
BR IT R;:SOZ.YSD by the Board of County Commissioners of
Indian River County, Florida, that this Board does herewith res- •
pectfully request the State Road Ospartment of the State of Florida
to include in its budget for primary roads for the fiscal year
1962-1963 the following projects in Indian River County, Florida,
1. The construction of an adequate two-lane highway
to be known as State Road A-/-A commencing at the
northern end of present State Road A-1-A east of the
Indian River in Indian River County and running north-
ward to the Sebastian Inlet and the construction of a
bridge over the Sebastian Inlet.
2. The reconstruction add improvement into a modern and
adequate two-lane highway of all of wabasso Bridge Road or
state Road 510 from State Road 5 to the Atlantic Ocean,
including a new bridge over the Indian River.
s. The construction of a new bridge on State Road 512
approximately one-bait mile east of the intersection of
State Road 510 and State Road 512 on a new aligbsent Jut
south of present location and to permit 3,000 cubic feet
of water per second to flow under bridge. River to be a
flood plain for a 200 feet width under bridge.
4. ':+build dsction 88540', State Road 3-512 from: state
Road 60 to .agar Mill.
G. Taa extension, widening and construction of state
Road 60 from its present eastern end at its intersection
with Stag ;toad 502 to the Atlantic Ocean.
