Incorporated, a Florida corporation, for tie construction of: an addition to
the C.,unty jail of Indian River County, Florida, in words, phrases and
figures as follows:
BUILDING CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT made the 1st day of October , 1961,
by and between NETTO CONSTRUCTION, INCORPORATED, hereinafter called
the Contractor, and INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subdivision
of the State of Florida, hereinafter called the Owner,
WITNESSETH, that the Contractor and the Owner for the con- i
siderations hereinafter named agree as follows
ARTICLE 1. SCOPE OF THE WORK.
Tho Contractor shall furnish all of the materials and per-
form all of the work shown on the Drawings and described in the
Specifications entitled Indian River County Sheriff Department
and Jail, Vero Beach, Florida, prepared by Nelson A. Faerber,
AIA, Naples, Florida, acting as and in these Contract Documents
entitled the Architect; and shall do everything required by this
Agreement, the General Conditions of the Contract, the Specifica-
tions and the Drawings.
ARTICLE 2. TIME OF COMPLETION.
The work to be performed under this Contract -shall be com-
menced October 1, 1962, and shall be substantially completed
April 1, 1963, and liquidated damages for delay in substantially
completing the work shall be as set forth in Section 3-11 of the
Specifications.
ARTICLE 3. THE CONTRACT SUM.
The Owner shall pay the Contractor for the performance of
the Contract, subject to additions and deductions provided therein,

in current funds as follows; One Hundred Twenty-one Thousand Sixty
Dollars ($121,060.00), composed of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Sixt
Dollars ($120,060.00) for the base bid and One Thousand Dollars
($1,000.00) for Alternate Bid No. 1.
ARTICLE 4. PROGRESS PAYMENTS.
The Owner shall' make payments on account of the Contract

as provided therein, as follows:

On or about the first day of each month ninety per cent
,(90%) of the value, based on the Contract prices of labor and.
(materials incorporated in the work and of materials s4itably
stored at the site thereof or at some other location agreed upon
in writing by the parties up to the previous day of that month,
as estimated by the Architect, less the aggregate of previous pay-
ments; and upon substantial completion of the entire work, a sum
sufficient to increase the total payments to ninety per cent (90%)
of the Contract price.
ARTICLE 5. ACCEPTANCE AND FINAL PAYMENT.
Upon receipt of written notice from the Contractor that
the work is ready for final inspection and acceptance, the Archi-
tect shall promptly make such inspection and, if he finds the work
acceptable under the Contract and the Contract fully performed,
he shall promptly issue a final certificate, over his signature,
stating that the work provided for in this Contract has been com-
pleted and is accepted by him under the terms and conditions there
of and that the entire balance found to be due the Contractor, and
noted in said final certificate, is due and payable. However, the

inspected and accepted by the Board of County Commissioners of
Indian River County, Florida, and, anything herein to the contrary
notwithstanding, not less than ten per cent (10%) of the contract
sum shall remain unpaid until such inspection and acceptance of
the work by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County, Florida, PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that such inspection by said
Board shall be completed within thirty (30) days after the Archi-
tect delivers said final certificate to said Board and, PROVIDED,

FURTHER, that any unpaid amount of the contract sum shall become
due and payable on the 31st day after such final certification if
inspection by said Board shall not reveal sufficient cause to pre-
vent acceptance by said Board.
Before issuance of final certificate the Contractor shall
submit evidence satisfactory to the Architect that all payrolls,
material bills, and other indebtedness connected with the work
have been paid.
ARTICLE 6. THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
The General Conditions of the Contract, the Supplementary
General Conditions, the Specifications and the Drawings, together
with this Agreement, form the Contract, and they are as fully a
part of the Contract as if hereto attached or herein repeated.

SUBJ: Addendum #1 to Plans A Specifications
Item #1: Amend Sheet #S-1 and new sheet #S-2 will be
forwarded under separate cover.
Item #2: Due to the fact that electrical service at site
is a 180 volt to ground and high leg system,
electrical service to building as indicated on
drawings shall be altered as follows:
A) Connect old building service to new
service installing 400 amp entrance to
replace existing 100 amp.
B) 42 circuit panel indicated on drawings
shall be changed from 3 phase to single
phase panel. Three phase panel indicated
on drawings as air conditioning shall be
enlarged to accommodate elevator power plant.
Main switch gear to be located in storage ;
room area 103.
Item #3: Water service as indicated on drawings shall
be 411 meter with 2" service to building.
Item #4: Bid date shall be changed to Friday, Sept•. 21,
9:00 a.m.

The following completion dates shall be substituted in
the respective specifications in lieu of original dates:

The fire hose and reel, as indicated on drawings,
shall be specified as Hose Reel Unit #2210 as
manufactured by the Standard Fire Hose Company,
Santa Monica, California, and distributed by
Norman Ascher and Associates, 46 N.E. 6th St.,
Miami, Florida,
(b)
11" fire line as specified shall be separate
from other plumbing and connect directly to
water main at entrance to building.
Item #2: Specifications for tile work shall be modified
as follows:
(a) Tile Wainscot at toilet shall be 4'0" with
the base in lieu of quarry as specified.
(b) One round column at Administration area
shall be tile finished.
Item #3: Flooring shall be homogenous vinyl as per
specifications. Finish schedule shall be
changed to read homogenous vinyl.
Item #4: Revised structural sheet S-1 shall have the
following information added to the column schedule:
