RESOLUTION JA) -I �
• WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of
County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the
placing of jetties, groins and other structures in the ocean has
created serious problems due to erosion and otherwise; and
WREREAS, the Trustees of the Internal improvement Fund
of the State of Florida require a State permit prior to allowing
the construction of jetties, groins and other coastal structures
in the ocean waters:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Indian River County, Florida, that they respectfully
request the Trustees of the Internal improvement Fund of the State
of Florida to notify the Board of County Commissioners upon the
application made for the placing of any jetties, groins or other
coastal structures in the public waters; and further respectfully
request that no permit be granted without notice to this Board.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Reso-
lution be forwarded to the Trustees of the Internal Improvement
Fund of the State of Florida, and a copy be forwarded to the U. S.
Army Corps of Army Engineers.
