WHEREAS, Bertha M. Kjorsvik, through Lloyd and Asoctat..�i cat
requested to purchase submerged lands out to the bulkhead line, si.tunt:;e:.d
in the Sebastian River. Indian River County, Florida;
WHEREAS, there as mance confusion an to the :intended .b"lkhoad line
in Indian River County in the Sebastian River Area;
WHEREAS, the. Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County
desires to state that the peninsula being located on an extension of
Lot 4, Ercildoune Heights Unit. No. .1, flat Book 3, page 74, was not,
in their opinion, a portion of the natural shore Eine in the establishment
of the bulkhead line in the section;
WHEREAS, Said Board feels that they should make objections to the:;
application for submerged lands on that portion of the application which
extends both in width and in length of the peninsula out from Lot 4, as
above described;
WHEREAS, said Board feels that any extension of this peninsula
would seriously interfere with the line of other property holders in
the area, that it would interfere with other riparian owners, that it
would destroy some of the natural resources in the area, this being an
area for natural breeding and feeding of fish and would be serious
impediment to navigation and proper drainage of the North Indian River
County, since this is the drainage outlet For loth the Fellsmere Drainage
District and the Indian River Farms Drainage District, and the southern
Florida Flood Control. District Canal;
BE IT THEOEFORE RE:POLM ±D by the Board of County Commissioners of
Indian River County, Florida in requl.ar session, this the 4th day of
November A. D. 1964, that they do hereby objet to the sale of submerged
land around the peninsula which is attached to and a part of Lot 4,
i reildoune Eieigbts, as found in plat Book 3 pago 74, Indira" 'fiver County
records, and hereby respectfully requests the Trustees of the Internal
Improvement Fund not to sell, said lands since the. peninsula .is not
considered by this Board as hvirm a part: ur thu natural ashore 11"o, it:

Upon Motion mode by Commissioner W4dde1.L, seconded by Goran.iaaioner
Raffield, and utwnimously carried, the following Resolution was adopted;
wHEREAB, the many packing houses and motels in the area
of U. S..#1 (SR 5) Jumaiately south of the City limits of Vera
Beech has caused a major problem with respect to the overnight
parking.of semi -trailer trucks along the highway. and
wHEREAB, the overnight parking of semi -trailer trucks in
front of a business establishment not only blocks the view of the
business concerned, but as well the access to the establishment by
customers, and
wlikRFA$, the parking of hemi -trailer trucka.cause acct-
dents and unsafe entering and exit conditions from any business
along the highway, and
wHE , it would not be desirable to remove ttie privilege
of parking along the highway, WN THE RE
