HomeMy WebLinkAbout1965-004BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CHARLOTTE COUNT[ RESOLUTION ' `7 WHEREAS, the State of Florida has become more prosperous and enjoyable through the control of pestiferous and disease -vectoring mosquitoes and other arthropods, and WHEREAS, the control of such pestiferous and disease -vectoring mosquitoes and other arthropods must necessarily depend on adequate funds to generate a complete control program, and WHEREAS, the successful control of mosquitoes and other pestiferous and disease - vectoring arthropods require both state and local cooperation, and WHEREAS, the economic results to the entire State of Florida are tantamount to the effectiveness of the local control programs, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commission, Charlotte County, Florida at their regular meeting this 16 day of February, 1965 express great concern for, and recommend that increased state aid be appropriated to more equitably share the costs of the various local mosquito con- trol programs of the State of Florida and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an appeal is hereby made for the immediate recognition of this need for increased state aid, and that the Chairman of the Hoard Of County Commiseioners, Charlotte County Florida submit copies of this resolution to the following: The State Association of County Commissioners The Chairman of all Hoard of County Commissioners The State Budget Commission The Chairman of all Mosquito Control District Boards of Commissioners The Legislative Representatives of Charlotte County Respectfully submitted, T.
