WHEREAS, on November 7, 1989, the County held a bond referendum of the qualified electors residing In the County on the question of whether or not Indian River County should Issue general obligation bonds or notes of the County In an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $2,900,000 to finance the cost of the purchase of the McKee Jungle Gardens and certain nearby wetlands In the county; and WHEREAS, after the ballots were counted, the results were certified by the County Canvassing Board, which consisted of County Judge James B. Balsiger, Board or county Commissioners Chairman Gary C. Wheeler, and Supervisor of Elections Ann Robinson, and the Certificate, which shows that the referendum did not pass, was turned over to the Board of County COMMISSIOner5, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOARt) OF COUNTY C041ISSIONERS OF INDIAN RjVr-,R COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Board hereby officially acknow I edges receipt of the Certificate of the CotitIty ,sing Board In connection with the above referendum.
