On behalf of the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners (County), I would like to
thank you for your efforts in support of the County's environmental priorities. The County shares
your vision and commitment to protecting and improving water quality, particularly in the Indian
River Lagoon (Lagoon).
The two projects for which we are requesting support—the Ixora Park Sewer Rehabilitation Project
and Hobart Water Treatment Plant Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) System
Upgrade—will both expand on the County's efforts to minimize negative environmental impacts
to our citizens, visitors, businesses, and the Lagoon.
As we turn toward the 2023 Florida Legislative Session, we look forward to continued
collaboration with your office as we collectively strive to advocate for effective and efficient
legislative policies benefiting our community and protect the health, welfare, and safety of all
Indian River County residents.
