Home My WebLink About1969-014RESOLUTION NO. 69-14 The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County resolves: 1. Pursuant to Section 194. 47, Florida Statutes, Ralph Harris, as Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Indian River County, Florida, has prepared in triplicate and delivered this date to the Board of County Commis- sioners of Indian River County, Florida, in duplicate a complete schedule or list, duly certified by him, of all lands in Indian River County, Florida, upon which tax certificates were issued at the County Tax Collector's sales of lands for unpaid delinquent taxes held on the first days of June in the years 1943, 1946, 1948, 1949, 1953, 1954 and 1966, as were bid off by said Tax. Collector for said County and which taxes have not been redeemed or pur- chased. 2. One said schedule or list has been retained by the said Clerk of the Circuit Court and is on file in his said office, the second said schedule or list is attached as Exhibit A to this Resolution, and the third said schedule or list shall be delivered this date to Sherman N. Smith, Jr., as County Attorney. 3. Within ninety (90) days after the date of this Resolution, Sherman N. Smith, Jr., as County Attorney, shall cause a Complaint to be filed in the Circuit Court of said county in the name of said county and against any and all of the lands described in the said schedule or list as defendant. 4. This Resolution, together with the attached Exhibit A, shall be set forth verbatim in the minutes of this Board of this date. That the foregoing schedule or list of lands contains and describes all such lands as were bid off by the Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida at said sale held June 1, 1943, 1946, 1948, 1949, 1953, 1954 and 1966, respective- ly, for the County and which taxes have not been redeemed or pur- chased and that the foregoing list constitutes a complete schedule or list of all of such lands; provided, that said list and schedule does not include lands foreclosed by municipalities situated within Indian River County, Florida for delinquent taxes or special im- provement liens or to which such municipalities acquired title prior to the first day of May, 1943. On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCul?ers, Fred Van Zonneveld was unanimously appointed as a County Life Guard for the summer months. On a Motion made by Commissioner. Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCullers, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: RES OLUT I O N 69 - 15 WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, in the interest of public safety, deem it necessary to install Flashing School Zone Signals at or near Section 88010 SLD Mile Post 5.721 on S.R. 5 to serve the Osceola School and WHEREAS, This Board hereby agrees to operate and maintain said Flashing Signals. NOW, THEREFORE, The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, resolves that the State Road Department of Florida, purchase and install, from Primary Funds, appropriate school zone flashing signals on S.R. 5 to serve the Osceola School.
