HomeMy WebLinkAbout1970-020Homer Fletcher, County Tax Assessor appeared before the Board a and reported that the Board of Equalization would now consist of two members of the School Board and three members of the Board of 40 County commissioners. On a Motion made by commissioner Mccullers, seconded by Commissioner Massey, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: R E S O L U T I O N 7 0- 2 0 WHEREAS, Homer Fletcher, Indian River County Tax Assessor, has made a request to this Board for the right to restrict public inspection of public records hei,1 i:i his office co the hours 8:00 A. M. - 1:00 P. M., June 1, 1970 Lo' the date the Board of Equalization meets in July, 1970, and WHEREAS, Homer Fletcher has stated that this request is made to insure completion of the 1970 tax roll and WIiE:REAS, the Tax Assessor's chief function and greatest responsibility is to prepare the tax roll NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County that the public's right to inspect public records in the Indian River County Tax Assessor's Office is restricted to the hours of 8:00 A. M. to 1:00 P. M. June 1, 1970 to the date the Board of Equalization meets in July, 1970.
