Honorable Richard P. Bogosian
Chairman, Board of County Commissioners
Indian River County
Vero Beach, Florida 32960
Dear Mr. Chairman:
Please accept my warm expression of gratitude for the action of your-
self and your fellow County Commissioners of Indian River County,
in adopting Resolution #71-1, dated January 6, 1971. This Resolu-
tion, which was presented for you by Mayor Simpson, of Vero Beach,
last Thursday night at the homecoming celebration given to my
wife Mary and me by the citizens of Polk County, joined by many
other kind friends from other parts of Florida, will always be a
highly prized item among my mementoes of public service.
At the same time I received the bit of silver, recovered from one
of the Spanish galleons sunk off the coast of Florida on July 30,
1715, and I want you to know how deeply my wife and I appreciate
this particular memento of the occasion and also a reminder of the
rich history of our State.
Thanking you warmly, and asking that you express our gratitude
also to the other Members of the County Commission of Indian River
County, I remain
Yours faithfully,
ESSARD L. HOLLAND
