HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-044On Motion made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by Commissioner Loy, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: RESOLUTION NO. 71-44 BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the rate of taxation necessary to meet the expenditures of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1972, pursuant to the budget of said Board as heretofore pub- lished and approved, is as hereinafter levied and that the tax rate as hereinafter shown and set forth be and it is hereby levied on all taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1971 with the rate hereinafter set out, to -wit: 1. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the General Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of two and fifty-six hundredths (2.56) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed. 2. In order to meet the estimated espenses of the Road and Bridge Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of eighty-two hundredths (.82) mill upon the dollar be levied and is herby imposed. 3. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the Fine and Forfeiture Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of two and five hundredths (2.05) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed. 4. In order to provide funds to the Indian River County Public Health Unit, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of twenty-two hundredths (.22) mill upon the dollar be levied, assessed and is hereby imposed upon all property lying and being in the County of Indian River, the proceeds of which when collected shall be paid to the State 'rreasurer of the State of Florida for the account of the State Board of Health i ot H Pian -3310 �) of the State of Florida, to he expended by said State Board of Health as provided by Chapter I54, Florida Statutes. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tax Assessor of Indian River County, Florida, be and he is hereby directed to assess and levy all of the foregoing taxes as fixed and levied by this Board upon the taxable property in Indian River County just and due taxation. The Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida, be and he is hereby directed to collect said taxes and pay over the same as provided by law and that a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to the County Assessor of Taxes and County Collector of Taxes.
