HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-010RESOLUTION NO. 79 -in BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that Interstate 95 be completed as soon as possible. That delays in the completion of the highway has resulted in the secondary roads of Indian River County having to carry traffic loads that the roads were not designed to carry; has caused traffic congestion in downtown Vero Beach, Florida, and, if the highway is not rapidly completed, will cause expenditures of the county tax funds for road repairs, a cost that should be a federal and state cost. Commissioner McCullers left the meeting. On Motion of Commissioner Massey, second of Commissioner Dritenbas, site plan approval was unanimously given for Norman Hensick to build a horse barn on ten acres zoned R-1. On Motion of Commissioner Loy, second of Commissioner Massey, site plan approval was unanimously given to James D. Knowles to place a trailer in an agricultural zone. A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas, and unanimously carried that authorization be given for advertisement for public hearing before the Board of County Commissioners for zoning changes for Maguire's Vero Beach K O A, Inc.; Anthony Elso; Elizabeth J. Clarkson; and Ralph W. Jones. On a Motion by Commissioner Dritenbas, second by Commissioner Loy, the Board tentatively approved a zoning change for J. T.
