HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-066• db RESOLUTION NO. 72-66 BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the rate of taxation necessary to meet the expenditures of the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1973, pursuant to the budget of said Board as heretofore published and approved, is as hereinafter levied and that the tax rate as hereinafter shown and set forth be and it is herby levied on all taxable property in Indian River County, Florida, for the year 1972 with the rate hereinafter set out, to -wit: 1. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the General Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of four and three hundredths (4.03) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed. 2. In order to meet the estmated expenses of the Road and Bridge Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of ninety-three hundredths (.93) mill upon the dollar be levied and is I hereby imposed. 3. In order to meet the estimated expenses of the Fine and Forfeiture Fund, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of one and nine tenths (1.9) mills upon the dollar be levied and is hereby imposed. 4. In order to provide funds to the Indian River County Public Health Unit, it is determined and hereby declared that a tax rate of twenty two hundredths of a mill (.22) upon the dollar be levied, assessed and is hereby imposed upon all property lying and being in the County of Indian River, the proceeds of which when collected shall be paid to the State 'treasurer of the State of Florida for the account of the State Board of Health of the State of Florida to be expended by said State Board of Health as provided by Chapter 154, Florida Statues. ® BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Tax Assessor of Indian River County, Florida, be and he is hereby directed to assess and ® 1 levy all of the foregoing taxes as fixed and levied by this Board upon the taxable property in Indian River County just and due taxation. The Tax Collector of Indian River County, Florida be and he is hereby directed tocollect said taxes and pay over the same as provided by law and that a certified copy of this Resolution be furnished to the County Assessor of Taxes and the County Collector of Taxes.
