WHEREAS, the State of Florida did purchase on
September 14, 1972, the following described land in
Indian River County, Florida, to wit:
Lot 10, Block A, Unit 1, Summerplace
Subdivision, according to the plat
thereof in Plat Book 6, Page 56,
Public Records of Indian River County,
Florida
for use as a public park, and
and
WHEREAS, this land is now exempt from taxation,
WHEREAS, taxes for the year 1972 on said land
total Three Hundred Fifty-three and 80/100 Dollars ($353.80),
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners agreed
with the State of Florida, as part of the consideration paid
to the prior owner, that the Board of County Commissioners
would pay the prior owner's share of the 1972 taxes, which
amount to Two Hundred Forty-nine and 11/100 Dollars ($249.11)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that,
in accordance with General Law, the taxes on the above
described land over and above Two Hundred Forty-nine and
11/100 Dollars ($249.11) are hereby cancelled.
