HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-032RESOLUTION � No. 73-32 WHEREAS, the Administrative Office of: the United States Courts has recomnended that the Ft. Pierce, Florida seat of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida be re- moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. WHEREAS, said removal would cause undue hardship on the citizens of Indian River County, Florida, in performing their duties as jurors and further would limit their access to the Federal Courts in both civil litigation and criminal proceedings, and WHEREAS, the undersigned feels that it would be in the best interests of the citizens of Indian River County, Florida, for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida to maintain its seat in Ft. Pierce, Florida. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that it would be in the best interests of the citizens of Indian River County, Florida, and the administration of justice for the Ft. Pierce, Florida, seat of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, to remain in place and not be removed to West Palm Beach, Florida. DATED this 4TH day of APRIL 1973.
