WHEREAS, LLOYD B. HARRISON, ha:i s"I nutted his resignation
from the Indian River County Zoning Commission, and
and,
WHEREAS, he has served'villi dia iio-;Aun on said Board since 1968,
WHEREAS, during his service on said Board his common sense,
logic and persuasiveness greatly aided the Board in completing the re-
drafting of a new zoning ordinance for Indian River County, new zoning
for Highway 60 which will preserve the beauty of the western approach to
Vero Beach, the preparation of a comprehensive plan for Indian River
County, and expeditious handling of many controversial rezoning matters,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to publicly
acknowledge his dedicated service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners of Indian River County, that it regretfully accepts the
resignation of LLOYD B. HARRISON from the Indian River County Zoning
Commission; that on behalf of all citizens of Indian River County, it thanks
him for his outstanding service and his efforts to preserve and to improve
the quality of life in Indian River County through zoning. His devotion to
duty, sensitivity to public service and excellence in performance has
indeed set an example for future members of the Board. His work has truly
left a monument that will benefit this county far into the future.
The Board of County Commissioners thanks him and wishes him
good health and success in his future endeavors.
