WHEREAS, the Indian River County Utilities Department has received a public improvement petition signed by more than two-thirds of the owners of property in the area to be specifically benefitted, requesting water improvements within the Glendale Lakes Subdivision along 48th Avenue between 8th Place and 10th Street; and WHEREAS, the petition has been verified and meets the requirements of Ordinance 81-27; and WHEREAS, conceptual design work including cost estimates has been completed by the Department of Utility Services and their contracted engineer, Masteller and Moler Associates, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the total cost of the proposed water improvements is $46,799.30; and WHEREAS, the special assessment provided hereunder shall', ii uc a21 equal proportion of 100% of the cost of the project, ($46,799.30) less adjustments by the Utilities Department, ($7,529.24) for each given record owner of property within the specific area benefitted, and on which a residence is located or capable of being located, and shall become due and payable at the Office of the Indian River County Utilities Department ninety (90) days after the final determination of the special assessment pursuant to Ordinance 81-27; and WHEREAS, all special assessments not paid within said ninety (90) day period shall thereupon become payable in equal installments in each of the succeeding five years with interest established at 12% from the date of Final Assessment, payable annually; but any assessment becoming so payable in installments may be paid at any time together with interest accrued thereon to date of payment; and -1- 0. R. 0787 PG 2695 UTIL (BRESGLEH.JFL)c: WHEREAS, after examination of the nature and anticipated usage of ® the proposed improvements, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that the following described properties shall receive a direct and special benefit from these improvements, to wit: LOTS 6 THROUGH 10, BLOCK 2, • LOTS 1 THROUGH 13, BLOCK 3, AND LOTS 7 THROUGH 11, BLOCK 4, AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF GLENDALE LAKES SUBDIVISION, PBI 6-26. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. The foregoing recitals are affirmed and satisfied in their entiretv. 2. The project providing for water improvements within 48th Avenue between 8th Court and 10th Street, heretofore designated as Indian River County Utilities Project Number UW86-09-DS, which has been constructed, is hereby approved to record the liens as listed in the Final Assessment Roll in the Recording Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court as stated in Ordinance 81-27. The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Eggert , who moved its adoption.
