RESOLUTION No. 74- 62
WHEREAS, this Board has adopted a Mechanical Code
for Indian River County, Florida; and,
WHEREAS, said Ordinance provides that this Board estab-
lish a schedule of Fees for Permits issued under said Ordinance,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, that the following
schedule of Fees is hereby established for the issuing of Mechanical
Permits:
MECHANICAL PERMIT FEES
(a)
For issuing each Permit $3.00
(b)
AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION
For the purpose of charging fees,
1 ton of refrigeration will equal
12,000 BTU's per hour or 1 H.P. total
connected loan
The first 5 tons or fractional part 5.00
The next 5 tons up to and including
10 tons - per ton 1.00
Over 10 tons - per ton additional 2.00
All major repairs or replacements,
same fees as above.
WINDOW UNITS OR WALL UNITS(Where no
construction work is involved in the
building or duct work attached)
For the first 5 units - each 3.00
For the next 50 units - each 2.00
For the next 100units - each 1.50
All others - each 1.00

Fee for Re -Inspection. In case it
becomes necessary to make a re -inspec-
tion of a Heating, Ventilating, Air
Conditioning or Refrigeration System,
the installer of such equipment shall
pay a Re -Inspection Fee of Five ($5.00)
Dollars.
(d)
Temporary Operation Inspection Fee; For
inspecting a Heating, Ventilating, Re-
frigeration, or Air Conditioning System,
a fee of Five ($5.00) Dollars shall be
paid by the Contractor requesting such
inspection. If the system is not approved
for temporary operation on the first inspection,
for each subsequent inspection for such pur-
pose, the usual Re -inspection Fee will be
charged.
(e)
In all buildings except one and two family
dwellings using self-contained Air Conditioning
Units less than two tons, the fee charged shall
be that for the total tonnage of all units
combined (see Paragraph (a) above for rate).
Minimum fee shall be Five ($5.00) Dollars.

Boilers based on BTU Input:
33,000 BTU (1 BHP) to 165,000 (5 BHP) $5.00
165,001 BTU (5 BHP) to 330,000 (10 BHP) 10.00

330,001 BTU ( 10 BHP) to 1,165,000(52 BHP) $15.00
1,165,001 BTU (52 BHP)to 3,300,000 BTU
(98 BHP) 25.00
Over 3,300,000 BTU 35.00
(g) Re -inspection Fee, in aase it becomes
necessary to make a re -inspection of the
installation of a Boiler, the person, firm,
corporation or owner to whom a permit is
issued shall pay for each re -inspection a
fee of Five ($5.00) Dollars.
This Resolution will become effective on July 10, 1974.
