HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-070INDIAN RIVER COUNTY RESOLUTION N0. 75-70 RESOLUTION NO. 160 i A JOINT RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR COOPERATION BETWEEN INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND THE TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER SHORES, FLORIDA, IN THE j PROCUREMENT, OPERATION AND REGULATION OF A PUBLIC PARK WITHIN THE TOWN OF INDIAN RIVER j SHORES, FLORIDA f ii WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River j County, Florida, and the Town Council of the Town of Indian River Shores, j Florida, desire to cooperate to the fullest extent in the procurement and j ii development of a public park at the Vero Beach Tracking Station property i located within the Town of Indian River Shores, Florida; and WHEREAS, both parties agree to fully comply with all regulations promulgated by every governmental agency; and WHEREAS, both parties agree that title to said property shall. be taken in the name of Indian River County, Florida; and WHEREAS, Indian River County, Florida, agrees to maintain said park in the highest standards in compliance with all existing ordinances of the 'town of Indian River Shores, Florida. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, and the Town Council of the Town of Indian River Shores, Florida, do hereby agree to cooperate in the development of a public park at the site of the Vero Beach Tracking Station. It is my understanding that the State of Florida has agreed for the land swap with the Air Force and that this deal is now in the Air Force Office, waiting for disposition, so in the meantime, you are in position .to know that there is no further disagreement between Indian River County and the Town of Indian River Shores, as the park will be run jointly.
