RESOLUTION NO. 76- 4
WHEREAS, the State has mandated implementation by local
government of a 911 Emergency Telephone System throughout Florida,
and;
WHEREAS, funding for said implementation was not contemplated
in the Statute, and;
WHEREAS, a request for 911 Emergency Telephone System
funding currently exists with the Department of Communications
budgets, and;
WHEREAS, the Lt. Governor's Office must deliberate upon
priorities for such requests in this year's appropriations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS to ask Lt. Governor Williams to
recommend a high priority to the Department to assist local
governments in implementing the Emergency Telephone System.

Such Resolution shall become effective as of the 7th
day of January , 1976.
