Statute 125'00-6* (1975), established a thirteen member
Charter Commission to otouv and m"bc recommendations to
the citizens of Indian River County regarding the most
economical, efficient and effective form of home rule

Angelo oauvxeo received appointment as one of the thirteen

government, and as Chairman of the Environmental and
Recreation committee, analyzed in depth methods to improve
and reorganize our local government for the benefit of all
citizens in zuuiao River County, and,
moonona, after long hours of atva,, organization meetings
with Sub -Committees, assimilation of material, preparation
of tonotive drafts, deuatee, and public hearings, the
Commission completed the final Charter Document, submitted
it to the Board of county Commissioners for zudiuu River
County on September z, 1976, and,
wooanua, although the results of the Charter Referendum
were unsuccessful, the citizens of Indian River County owe
a great aa»t of appreciation to Angelo Sanchez for his
diligent efforts and service to our community and cuouty
guvernment'
