WHEREAS, Indian River County is desirous of establishing
rates pursuant to Chapter 3, Articles I and II of the Code of
Laws and Ordinances of Indian River County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, there are additional rules which need to be
implemented pursuant to the above-cited Chapter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That:
(a) Fees to Redeem Animals:
$10.00 - plus housing for first offense
$15.00 - plus housing for second offense
$25.00 - plus housing for third offense
(b) Fees to be paid at .Indian River County Sheriff's
Department - County Jail.
(c) Any dog picked up without a tag_, the owner must
purchase a tag before the animal is released. In the
event the animal. has not had a rabies shot, the animal
may be released but a certificate, evidencing the animal's
receiving a rabies shot must be delivered back to the
Animal Control Officer within three (3) days after release.
(d) Disposal of Anim:il:Must: be sealed in plastic bag,
placed in a covered box container, and delivered to the
landfill.

day of December , 1977.
