WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
County, Florida has recognized a need to provide for orderly
growth and management as contemplated by the passage of the
Florida Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act; and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida has recognized a need to
assist local governments in availing themselves of the benefit
7MMof the Act; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Legislature has charged the Department
of Community Affairs with administering the Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program;
NOW, 'I'IIf;REFORE, The BOARD OF COUNTY CO;at`3ISSIO14ERS of
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, requests the Department of
Community Affairs to include Indian River County's application
among the joint applications from Fellsr;ere and Sebastian
44 requesting financial assistance from the Local Government
Comprehensive Planning Act Assistance Fund Program for
1978-1979.
FURTHER, the BOARD OF COUNTY COKMI`;:;IONERS OF INDIAN RIVER
COUNTY, Ff,()RTDA indicates its commitment to Comply with the
appropriate .inel ..applicable state and local laws, rules and
regulations for the administration of this program,including
but not .limited to, necessary matching; fun+1 , funding only
eligible planning activities, etc., which are more fully
described in Chapter 98-5, F.A.C.

Said Resolution shall become effective as of the 9th day
of August, 1978.
