WHEREAS, JACK DOWNS, was appointed by the Board of County
ommissioners of Indian River County, Florida, to serve as a
'oard Member on the Economic opportunities Council in December
of 1975; and
WHEREAS, JACK DOWNS has served on the 4oard of Economic
Opportunities Council with distinction, representing the interests
c-�o f all of the people of Indian Pi,,,, -!r. County; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as a Board Member on the Economic
_)Opportunitie! Council JACK DWNS served as a Member of the Executi
.
Commi.ttee during the year 1977, as a Member of the Planning
c
7)Cormnittee during the year 1977, and as a 'Ienk,er of the Finance
Committee during the year 1979 until his resi�jnation in June of
1978;

NOW, THEREFORE, HE TT RESOLVED BY THE BOAR
COMMIS:10�ER. OF INDIAN IDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, That the Board,
on behalf of itself and the citizens of Indian River County,
Floridas expresses its deep appreciation to JACK DOWNS for a job
well done; and
BE IT FURTIIFIR RESOLVED, that the Board wishes JACK DOWNS
every success in his future endeavors.
Said Resolution _;hall become effective as of the _23rd
day of August 1978.
