HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-024RESOLUTION NO. 191-24 WHEREAS, the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA intends to apply to the State of Florida, Department of Natural Resources for a Florida Boating Improvement Program grant of $7,150.00, to construct sorely needed restoration to the Vero Shores Daybeacons; and WHEREAS, said BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, does retain ownership, jurisdictional control, and maintain said daybeacons; and WHEREAS, restoration to these daybeacons will be in the interest of all citizens of Indian River County; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, which was duly established by Special Act of the Florida Statutes adopted on the 30th_ of June 1925, that this official document does hereby certify the Board of County Commissioners intent and agreement to apply for the above mentioned grant, and additionally to strive to implement the proposed improvements as delineated in the Grant Application to which this Resolution will be attached; AND FURTHER THAT, Mr. James l -l. Davis, P.E., County Engineer of Indian River County Public Works Department, 2345 14th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida, 32960, Phone (305) 562-4166, is hereby authorized to be the County Liaison person charged with the responsibility to prepare, plan, and coordinate said application and development program; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution was passed by a vote of 5 _ to — 0 of the Commissioners present. y This 15th_ day of April , 1981.
