WHEREAS, Indian River County is immensely proud of "our owliv
LOS ANGELES DODGERS, who train here every spring; and
WHEREAS, the LOS ANGELES DODGERS have madt, a substantial
commitment to Indian River County which benefits all the resi- C>/,
dents and visitors to our County throughout tho year; and
WHEREAS, the DODGERS are tj-uc,, chankpions having won the 1981.C><
World Series, defeating the New Yrk Yankee; in four out of six C
games played; and
WHEREAS, Outfielder Pedro Cuerrero, rhird Baseman Ron Cey
and Catcher Steve Yeager, along with all the other DODGER playe-r9>_,/_
in this dramatic and exciting serie!-., are to be commended; and
WHEREAS, we are truly grateful to Owner' Peter 0114alley.,
Al Campania, Vice President for Player Personnel, and Tommy
Lasorda, Dodger Manager, for molding this dvnamic 4 -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF' COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OP INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, rT,O1--,.IDA, That the Board,
on behalf of itself and the citizens of Indian River County,
