A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION
FOR A FLORIDA SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT TO CREATE VIABLE COMMUNITIES BY PRO-
VIDING DECENT HOUSING AND SUITABLE LIVING ENVI-
RONMENT AND EXPANDING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES,
PRINCIPALLY FOR PERSONS OF LOW AND MODERATE
INCOME.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian River
•- County has reviewed this proposal and has received the recommen-
dation from the Executive Director of the Indian River County
Housing Authority,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman
and the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners are authorized
to execute the attached application to the State of Florida
Department of Community Affairs for a Florida Small Cities
Community Development Block Grant.
The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Scurlock
*hn moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner
Bird and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
Chairman Patrick B. Lyons Aye
Vice Chairman Don C. Scurlock,Jr. Aye
Commissioner Margaret C. Bowman Aye
Commissioner Richard N. Bird Aye
Commissioner William C. 11odtke, Jr.Aye
The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed
and adopted this 2nd day of January , 1985,
