HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-015RESOLUTION 2023- 015 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW SIDEWALKS AND RECONSTRUCTION OF EXISTING SIDEWALKS ALONG 43RD AVENUE FROM 45TH STREET TO 49TH STREET FOR THE 2023 TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES PROGRAM (TAP) APPLICATION FOR THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) WHEREAS, the sidewalk construction and reconstruction along 43rd Avenue from 45th Street to 49th Street is an Indian River County priority project; and WHEREAS, on February 8, 2023, the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Board approved this project as the applicable Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) project on their List of Priority Projects (LOPP); and WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation has requested Indian River County submit to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, this Resolution of Support for the 2023 TAP application; and WHEREAS, the improvements of the project are located within Indian River County right-of- way of 43rd Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA: 1. That the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to sign and submit to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, a Resolution of Support for the 43rd Avenue sidewalk project. 2. That maintenance of improvements that are constructed will be maintained by Indian River County once completed. The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Flescher who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner hoar and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: Chairman Joseph H. Earman AYE Vice Chairman Susan Adams AYE Commissioner Joseph E.
