Please see the attached quote for the RO pump repairs, along with new stainless steel baseplates. Assuming we proceed, we'll provide quick drawings with the pumps and motors on the new baseplates for approval. The pump we received was build in 1992 and is all original housings. The wet -ends are in relatively good condition (no significant wear), but the bearing housing shows noticeable wear around the bearings. It may be possible to secure a bearing back in them, but it will likely have a noticeably reduced lifespan compared to a new unit. We can provide a more extensive report if required. We recommend replacing the complete power -frame (bearing housing & bearings, back feet, and seal chamber) — this is a standard kit and readily available at the factory. We will reassemble this to the wet -end with a new mechanical seal. The pumps currently have mechanical seals in them. We can send these seals out to be repaired and it will save about $1,000 per repair, but it will take some time and until we have them in hand, we cannot guarantee the seals are repairable (usually they are, but not guaranteed). Repaired seals are warranted just like brand new units, they just cost less. We quoted the repairs using all new. If the County wants some spares, we can send out the old ones and see if they're repairable, and invoice separately for those and return them to the WTP ($1,500 to repair each seal). Or we could buy 1-2 new seals for the first repair or two, then send those seals out for repair and use them on the follow-up repairs, resulting in 1-2 spare seals. This will match the (2) motors that have already been ordered. With regards to delivery of those motors, the latest date we're getting from US Motor is that we will receive them here by 3/23/23. 1 wish I could get more clarity or confidence from them, but US Motor has become our least transparent supplier across the board. They still deliver high quality products, but there's often no telling when it will arrive. Other suppliers (TECO, Baldor, GE) are in a similar state and are regularly delivering motors in 28-30 weeks, sometimes more. If I had an option with which I had greater delivery confidence, I would recommend it. But for now, if you can handle the long lead, I recommend sticking with the product we know.
