RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN'S EXECUTION OF LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM (LAP) AGREEMENT WITH THE
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR TRANS -FLORIDA RAILWAY TRAIL FROM FELLSMERE TO
WEST OF 1-95 PHASE 1 & 2
WHEREAS, the construction of a Trans -Florida Railway Trail from Fellsmere to West of 1-95 is an
Indian River County priority project; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is prepared to provide funds to pay a
portion of the cost for the construction of the 12 -foot Trail consisting of a coquina base and an asphalt
surface, approximately 1.4 miles long under the Local Agency Program (LAP); and
WHEREAS, the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, has requested Indian River County
execute and deliver to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, a Local Agency Program
Agreement for the aforementioned project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN
RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized to make, execute, and
deliver to the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, a Local Agency Program Agreement for the
aforementioned project.
