AGREEMENT
between
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
and
SPILLIS CANDELA AND PARTNERS, INC.
for Renovation Work at Sheriffs Office
This Agreement, entered into this day of1999 by
and between INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, a political subof the State of
Florida (County) and SPILLIS CANDELA AND PARTNERS, INC. (Architect);
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the County entered into a contract with the Architect looking
toward the construction of a new County Administration Building; and
WHEREAS, the County now needs a redesign of the Sheriff's Office; and
WHEREAS, the Architect is already under contract with the County; and
WHEREAS, from a time and cost standpoint it would be in the public
interest to have the Architect provide this additional service;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual terms, conditions,
promises, covenants and premises hereinafter set forth, the County and
Architect agree as follows:
I. Contract
The basic contract of May 26, 1999 between the County and the
Architect shall govern any provision not specifically provided herein.
II. Scone of Work
A. The Architect will design and draw the interiors retrofit of the
Sheriff's Office as depicted on Sheet 1 of 1, dated April 18, 1997, by C. E.
Block. The documents produced will allow the County to obtain a building
permit for the required work.
B. In addition, the Architect will produce the documents necessary
to allow for three additional overhead doors and five screen replacements with
operable windows at the Sheriff's vehicle maintenance facility. This work is
generally depicted on Drawing 1 of 1, dated December 1997, by C. E. Block.
C. The Architect will not be involved during the constrtiction phase
except to answer phone or written questions.
III. Compensation
The Architect shall be paid $6,000 upon completion of the Scope of Work
set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF County and Architect have entered into this
