RE: Annual Renewal of Wood Waste Services Agreement
Dear Mr. Brooks:
The intent of this letter is to inform you that Consolidated Resource Recovery (CRR)
wishes to renew the Wood Waste Services Agreement (the Agreement) between
CRR and Indian River County, dated September 23, 1997, for the period of one (1)
year. This renewal would take effect October 1, 1999, would expire September 30,
2000, and is subject to approval by the Indian River County Board of County
Commissioners.
Please note that paragraph 5 of the Agreement states that " The contract price may
be adjusted annually beginning October 1, 1999, by a maximum of 3%, based upon
prevailing labor and material costs, upon approval by the COUNTY. " CRR has
calculated this increase based on the Consumer's Price Index (CPI) for the South
Urban area of the U.S. CRR has calculated the increase at 1.27% for 1998, which
would establish a base price for the renewal year at $12.04 per outgoing ton. The
CPI data and calculations have been included with this letter for your review.
