AMENDMENT NO. 8'ro THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING/LAND SURVEYING
SERVICES AGREEMENT BETW17EN KIMLEV-HORN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. AND
INDIAN PIVrR COUNTY, FLORIDA,
This is an amendment to the existing Engincering/Land Surveying Services Agreement
(AGREEMENT) dated November 1, 1994, between Kinilcy-flom and Associates, Inc.
(ENGINEER) arid Indian River County (COUNTY). This aniendincrit addresses changes in
"Section I - Project Limits and Description" and "Section V - Compensation", of the
AGREEMENT.

This Amendment includes the following:
"Section I - Project Limits and I)c,&cription" is being modified to incorporate structural
design review services for proposed modifications of design plans by the contractor
during King's Highway (58" Avenue) construction between 12' Street and 26' Street.
We understand that these modifications are being requested and initiated by the
contractor, and that the County will be rcimbktrsictl by the contractor tor any professional
review ansing from these modifications.
We will review design joidilications submitted by the contractor to include:
• Concrete shed piles
• Modiricationswidilisofticckslash tulits
Closure pours
• End bent wing wall modifications
We will also review the shop drawing submittals associated with these
modifications and coordinate any comments or revisions with the contractor to
assist in expediting his modification.
"Section V - Compensation" is being revised in response to the Scope
modifications. 'fire charges associated with the change in project scope arc as
follows:
1) I)esigo review and shop drawing review 510,575,00
Expenses will be charged at a lump sum of 11 % of labor cost for a total of $740.
The section of the original ACMEEMNT entitled "Section V - Compensation"
shall be revised to include compensation due the ENGINEER in the amount of
$11,315.

The AGREEMENT is hereby amended as specifically set forth herein. All other
sections of the AGREEMENT shall remain in full force and effect, and are
incorporated herein.
This Amendment No. 8 to the AGREEMENT regardless of where executed, shall
be governed by and construed by the laws of the State of Florida.
In witness whereof the parties have executed this Amendment this 6th day of
